How it Works
Dress for Success Southern Nevada provides each woman with one suit for her job interview. When she successfully lands a job, she returns to Dress for Success for a second suit and up to a week's worth of business-appropriate separates and accessories. She also receives an invitation to join the Professional Women's Group, our employment retention service.
Why it Works
Dress for Success serves job-ready women by referral from non-profit organizations, including domestic violence agencies, homeless shelters, and job-training programs. Our programs transition women toward self-sufficiency by offering them confidence boost and encouragement to help them succeed in their interview and the retention programs enabling them to grow professionally and personally.
How You Can Help
Dress for Success Southern Nevada accepts new or gently-used professional woman's clothing on Tuesdays and Saturdays between the hours of 8:00am - 2:00pm (BY APPOINTMENT). While we focus on suits and blouses, we also accept purses, accessories, dress pants, dress skirts, shoes and new hosiery, undergarments and make-up.
We are only able to keep those items that are in like-new condition, suitable for a first or second job interview and in a style that is current and appropriate. Please take a few minutes to clean out and assess your closet. Some good questions to ask yourself before donating an item are:
Clothing items need to be DRY CLEANED or laundered and pressed. They should be ON HANGERS. We know this is an unusual request from a charity, but often times our grateful clients will be going directly to an interview so we need clothes ready to wear. Thank you for taking the time to find the items most needed to help disadvantaged women take their best first step on their road to sustainability.
